Just Monkeying Around

There is only so much I can get done in the day. But lately, I seem to be "monkeying" around. I thought this background would go well with what I've been feeling lately. Not really wanting to do anything, there isn't any finished projects, and there hasn't been much going on around here, except for work. The weather has been nice and I've been planning what to put in the planters, when I buy them, and I've been watching the trees bud out every morning on my walk with Cleo, the dog.

I am on the last repeat of a test knit project. I am on the last bump of fiber on the Traditional which has only taken me three rotations of the spinning wheels. I am on the last knitting of a pair of socks and I am so on the last of winter. Thank goodness it is officially the first of Spring.

I'm off to finish the test knit and watch the race from today. Happy knitting and spinning!

Alas, this morning we have 4 inches of snow, 28 degrees, wind, and it's still snowing. I hear that Idaho Falls is 35 degrees, though. So I had to get my snow boots out of the closet for a nasty walk with the dogs. Oh well - we can always use the water!

I think I will start the socks with the yarn we all bought at that shop in Driggs in 2007 - thats the only yarn I purchased that I haven't knitted up yet.

I am still spinning up the 3 ply Notlwonk fleece to finish the sweater, and now I am afraid that ther is not as much as I had thought - the sleeves may be 3/4 length!!! But I will be glad to be rid of that fleece. Then on to the columbia.

We had a flock of bluebirds in the yard last week - just passing through I am sure, but a beautiful sight to see.
